XINCHENG YAO

Ph.D. Student

Xincheng Yao, male, originally from Yiyang City, Hunan Province, is a Ph.D. candidate enrolled in 2023 at Hunan University, supervised by Prof. Ke Shen and Prof. Bowen Huang. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Shaanxi University of Science and Technology in 2020 and his Master of Engineering degree from Hunan University in 2023. His current research focuses on theoretical calculations of irradiation damage in graphite, with particular emphasis on the development of machine learning interatomic potentials for graphite irradiation damage, as well as the study of the relationship between defect structures and irradiation properties in graphite.
